Q&A with Dawn

SES: Thanks for coming back Dawn, and for agreeing to this chat for the club. I'm glad that first photo shoot didn't scare you away.

Dawn: Oh it wasn't bad at all! I'm not usually as self-conscious as I was that day.

SES: Well, tell us something about yourself?

Dawn: Well my name is Dawn, I'm 21, and I'm working as an administrative assistant right now but going to community college in the evenings.

SES: And while most people can probably see the resemblance, we should point out again that you're Amy's sister.

Dawn: Yes, how could you tell? <laughs>We don't look anything alike.

SES: Well on that point, my first standard question is always to ask what Somethings Extra you have that bring you to the Studios for photos? I mean, at least one is pretty obvious...

Dawn: Yes, as most guys notice right away, I have three breasts. And I'm not even from Mars or Eroticon Six! <laughs>I also have six fingers on each hand - well, five fingers and a thumb.

SES: Any other extras we should know about?

Dawn: Oh I almost forgot, six toes on each foot too. I don't often think about that.

SES: You don't often think about your toes?

Dawn: Well, do you?

SES: I guess not...

Dawn: The only time I think about having wide feet is when I'm shopping for shoes. I have to get extra-wide if they have them, or go up a size or half a size, or else my toes get crushed and then I WOULD think about them more often!

SES: And that wouldn't be good. I have to assume that you and Amy were born this way...

Dawn: Yeah. The middle nipple I had when I was born was meant to be vestigial and never develop, but <thrusting chest out>I guess they were wrong.

SES: I'm glad they were mistaken. Do you have any idea why you look like this?

Dawn: Well, there's actually a history of polydactyly on my Mother's side of the family... Grampa has 11 fingers and Mom had an extra toe removed when she was younger. So that helps explain the fingers, but we don't know where our middle breasts came from. It would seem to be genetic though, for Amy and I to both be polymastic.

SES: Ooh some technical words.

Dawn: <laughs>We've researched this, can you tell?

SES: You've sort-of explained why the third nipple wasn't removed, but did your parents consider "fixing" your hands and feet?

Dawn: The way you say "fixing" makes it sound like a bad thing, the kind of words that should frighten dogs and cats, you know?

SES: Well as you can tell, I like unusual bodies, so I would think it's a bad thing. Wouldn't you?

Dawn: Oh absolutely! I just liked the way you used the word. Umm... Mom and Dad had thought about amputating Amy's extra digits before she was born, knowing Mom's family history. But when she had 12 fingers and toes, they decided against it. When it was all even, they say they thought Amy looked right.

SES: Didn't they consider having to find gloves and shoes?

Dawn: They did, but thought that if Amy or I really wanted it to be done later, we could have the operation. Anyway, when I came out the same, they didn't consider it, and there hadn't been any problems raising Amy by then.

SES: There were problems later?

Dawn: Only really at puberty... where on Earth do you buy a three-cupped training bra from? Gloves can always be replaced by mittens if you need them, shoes you go up a size, but parents don't really want their daughters being revealing at that age, you know? Can't be going around bra-less!

SES: And of course the third breast developing wasn't expected at all.

Dawn: No! Well by then we'd started seeing some other polymastic girls around, so I think Mom & Dad knew they should be prepared for anything but they still had to find or make something for Amy!

SES: What was it like for you growing up?

Dawn: I can remember that I had one little piggy that had ice cream, between having roast beef and having none.

SES: <laughs>Okay, I meant when you were a bit older.

Dawn: I think I probably had it a bit easier because I was following Amy... I at least had hand-me-down bras, and some clothes. Though they were SO out-of-fashion I had to find my own most times.

SES: Clothing aside...

Dawn: Clothing aside, I think it was easier too because people had her to get used to. The fingers and toes weren't really a big thing... not many people notice unless they're really looking, or I'm showing off. Which I used to do in elementary school.

SES: You were a show-off?

Dawn: Well all kids are, aren't they? Some kids are so proud that they are double-jointed or can drink water through their nose. I had six fingers to a hand... who wouldn't use that for show and tell?

SES: True. But I find that hard to reconcile with you in the studio.

Dawn: Yes, blame puberty again. Three breasts are strange, even around here, and they're hard to hide, you know? And guys look at breasts a lot so there is a LOT of staring at my chest. It gets uncomfortable.

SES: So you're not as outgoing as Amy?

Dawn: Well, because of how we look I get compared to her a lot...

SES: I'm sorry if I keep...

Dawn: No it's okay. I think because she was first, she got a lot more attention than me. So while it can be hard to follow her footsteps, that was a good thing. She decided a couple of years ago to just go with it... if her boobs get her attention, she'll take that attention. But I'm not really like that. I want to be treated as a person, not just as three breasts.

SES: Or even three breasts and 12 fingers and toes. But it seems more than that...

Dawn: Well, the staring really gets to you after a while, and it IS hard to downplay three breasts when I want to. I don't usually... I just want to act normally, dress normally. Sometimes I'm showy, sometimes I'm not. But it's hard to be UN-showy, if that's the right term.

SES: To hide your middle breast.

Dawn: Yes. Some jackets work, or big bulky sweaters, but anything tight, or buttoned, or with any kind of low neckline is out.

SES: Do you prefer to hide it, or be showy?

Dawn: Depends on the situation or the people. Generally I just like to dress as normally as possible, probably a bit on the showy side.

SES: So nothing like Amy's idea for the T-shirt Fiona showed me a few weeks back?

Dawn: Oh, the "Stop staring" T-shirt? <laughs>No, I wouldn't wear that. Did you know though that while Amy never got that shirt made, she did get one that just says "Loook!" with three O's? She' really after the attention!

SES: Sure sounds that way! Why were you so nervous at the last shoot?

Dawn: I think with Amy posing topless, and again, following her footsteps, I thought you'd want me to do the same. But you were great and just let me be me.

SES: Believe it or not, we don't try to talk girls into getting photographed naked. The ones that want to, pose that way.

Dawn: Oh I know that now, which is why I think I felt better about being a little more revealing this time. I don't think I want to go topless though.

SES: That's fine. You're beautiful in any amount of clothes anyway.

Dawn: Thanks!

SES: And the fact that you wore something tight last time was a bonus.

Dawn: <laughs>I like that outfit.

SES: Okay, I can tell you love clothes. I wanted to go back a bit and ask you about your bras, if I may.

Dawn: Um, sure.

SES: Talking to Lei or Cassie or others, they can use two standard bras for their four breasts. But to ask one of your own questions, where DO you find a three cupped bra?

Dawn: Well, it was much harder a few years ago. I've seen the interviews with Lei, and I have to tell you... for girls that come to this studio, sewing is an essential life skill! My Mom and I used to try to piece them together. At first it was her and Amy, and I got Amy's bras as I grew up. But then I out-grew her and we had to start making all my own stuff.

SES: Why was it harder a few years ago?

Dawn: In the past year or two a couple of shops around here have been nice enough to start specializing in customizing clothes for girls like us. They keep our measurements and body type on record and some will even let us help design our own clothes. I think the people there like the challenge of coming up with fashionable stuff for us.

SES: Oh that's cool! I'll have to tell Lei to ask you which ones, for when she's in town next time.

Dawn: Yeah... it's only a couple of places though. But one of them carries intimates, and now I get most of my bras & bikini tops from there.

SES: I think PeeGee and others, from the club, called a three-cupped bikini top a "trikini".

Dawn: Ooh, I love it! I hope he doesn't mind if I use that.

SES: I'm sure he wouldn't. So today I've seen the bra with the strapless middle cup...

Dawn: Yeah, that's usually the most practical style for me, but doesn't give as much support. Any of my push-up-type bras are like that. The other styles have two straps or a halter strap from the middle cup, but that's only good with high-neckline tops, or you see the straps.

SES: For club members, I think that's like the blue swimsuit top Fiona wore. Hold on... <finds a picture and shows Dawn>

Dawn: Yes, that's the style. Great support but not too flashy unless it's swimwear. The other style is like a mix... the two normal straps split somewhere down the front, so you end up with a kind-of "M" across the top of the cups, for support, but only one strap over each shoulder.

SES: I think I get the idea...

Dawn: It's good middle ground, and I can wear more open necks and V-necks with it. Though a V-neck can get some attention because I can plunge it pretty low but not show any cleavage!

SES: Heh, showy without showing off too much. What's your favorite outfit for showing off?

Dawn: Apart from swimwear? I have a spaghetti-strap dress with a halter strap for the middle, which plunges deep between both cleavages, but that's dressy. For piquing a guy's interest everyday, I have one particular top with a low square-cut neckline. With a bra like today's, that top shows both cleavages and my center breast really well.

SES: You DO like to show off!

Dawn: Only sometimes. I think to clarify my earlier answers, I was more nervous here in the studio because I was going to let you post the photos on the internet. That's a bit more public than I'm used to.

SES: Very true.

Dawn: A lot of my wardrobe is really conservative. It has to be for work, you know?

SES: Oh, of course. Do you have any gloves?

Dawn: Now I do. One of those shops asked if they could make some, which is why I think they're enjoying the challenge. Now I have two pairs, one for cold weather and one for dressing up.

SES: Oh... I'm a bit slow, but my mind just made a connection... what's your typing speed as an admin assistant?

Dawn: <laughs>It took you a while to ask that one!

SES: Sorry, I'm a guy... I was staring at your chest. It's very distracting.

Dawn: <laughs>Anyway, my typing speed is pretty good, around 70 words per minute. My hands almost cover the keyboard.

SES: What do you use as your rest position for typing?

Dawn: My right index finger is in the usual place, over the J, but I put my left index finger on the G. It seems to work pretty well... my pinkies don't have to stretch too far to hit shift and enter and so on. I tend to hit the letters in between my hands with my right fingers, since I'm right-handed.

SES: I just realized the question I was about to ask was close to one of my standard questions, so I'll move on to those. What are the best things about being the way you are?

Dawn: I don't know. Probably having the extra fingers for typing and playing music, from what I've seen with other people.

SES: What instruments do you play?

Dawn: A bit of piano... I had lessons when I was young, for what my parents thought were obvious reasons <holds up fingers and wiggles them>, and still like to fool around now and then. I'm playing guitar more now, not very well <laughs>but trying.

SES: Any other good aspects?

Dawn: Sometimes the attention is good. When it's not the leering-and-staring kind of attention. And I still kinda like subtly showing off sometimes, whether it's the way a long necklace hangs over my middle breast or counting things off on my fingers. But there's not a lot of practical advantage that I've found to being like this.

SES: What are the worst things?

Dawn: The bad kind of attention. You know, the guys who think they're so clever when they quote "You make me wish I had three hands" loudly. Or the people who think I'm contagious or evil. Other bad things are finding clothes though that's getting better. Oh, and the fact that I can't see my belly-button! <laughs>

SES: <laughs>Really? Now that's something I hadn't thought of.

Dawn: Well, it's not REALLY that bad, but I do have to kind-of look to one side or the other to button my pants, for example.

SES: Do you like being different?

Dawn: I think so. Like I said, I try to be normal, just my body looks a little different. On rare occasions I'm treated as a freak, and sometimes I'm afraid to show my different body. But I'm happy the way I am. I don't know if that's the same as liking being different, but I am happy.

SES: If you had the choice, would you want to be different to the world's view of normal?

Dawn: You know I've read some of the other Q-and-A's you've done, and I think my answer is going to be the same as the others. I've never been anything else but the way I am, so I have nothing to compare it to. I think I'd have to say that I want to be this way. It has some advantages, such as this world-wide exposure, and some disadvantages.

SES: Such as this world-wide exposure.

Dawn: Maybe. <laughs>

SES: Yep, same answer. I think I'll have to take that question out. <laughs>Would you change anything about yourself?

Dawn: Honestly, the only thing I might consider is only having 5 toes on each foot, because that can be uncomfortable unless I stick to my oversized shoes. And while I don't think I'd want only two breasts, I don't think I'd mind if they were a bit smaller.

SES: I personally wouldn't encourage that...

Dawn: Of course not, you're a guy! <laughs>But I'm a 44D, the equivalent of a 36D if I had a normal bust. And my outer breasts get in the way of my arms sometimes... it's a pretty tight fit up there!

SES: But you wear push-up bras?

Dawn: They don't push up a whole lot, just give more support and they pull my left and right breasts in more. And they're for days when I want well-defined cleavages, you know? <laughs>

SES: Well, thanks a lot for chatting with me. It's been great.

Dawn: And I'm sure you enjoyed the view. <grins>

SES: As you've said, I'm a guy. <laughs>I hope I haven't been staring too much.

Dawn: Oh, you haven't at all! I'm just teasing you.

SES: Why not, everyone else does! By the way, how is Amy doing?

Dawn: She's doing well... she actually moved away for her work, but is still big on doing the whole singles scene. She's got a whole new city to show off in!

SES: I know Lei bumped into her over the holidays at a bar here, said she was dressed to stun.

Dawn: That sounds like her!

SES: I'm sure members would like to know... are you seeing anyone right now?

Dawn: No, not really... I've recently met a really nice guy, but nothing serious yet.

SES: Does he seem to be interested in more than just your...

Dawn: Attributes? Yes, he doesn't stare nearly as much as some people, and seems really interested in just holding my hands. He really likes my hands, it's a nice change.

SES: Do you have anything else you'd like to add, for the club members?

Dawn: Um, hi and thanks for supporting us freaks and weirdos! Seriously, I mean for us girls who've lived in fear and embarrassment most of our lives, you make us feel beautiful as we are. I'm sorry I probably won't be showing you more of me than in today's photos, but I hope you don't hold that against me!

SES: I'm sure they won't. Thanks again.

Dawn: No problem, it's been fun!
