Lei Q&A

Lei Q&A

By Quaid

SES: Thanks for agreeing to come back and light up the room again with your smile.

Lei: Thanks, it's my pleasure.

SES: Ready to answer a few questions?

Lei: Sure, as long at the questions aren't too hard.

SES: We'll start with some easy ones. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

Lei: Well, I'm 21, born and raised here, I'm single, and, this may surprise you, I don't look completely normal.

SES: No! Really? You look fine to me.

Lei: You mean, apart from the fact that I wear two bras and can count to twenty on my fingers? (holds up her hands)

SES: Oh, I see, now that you mention it...

Lei: (laughs)

SES: Seriously though, your extra arms and breasts are pretty obvious. Any other extras we should know about?

Lei: None that I know of. Why, do you think I should have more?

SES: Not at all, just asking for the sake of completeness.

Lei: Nothing more than you see here. (points to all four breasts, then hold up hands again) I had four arms and four nipples as a baby. Doctors said that the nipples were harmless and probably wouldn't develop into breasts, so my parents decided to leave them alone. But the arms... I mean, a four-armed baby does look pretty freaky. No new parent really wants their baby to be a mutant.

SES: So what did they do?

Lei: Well, the doctors wanted to operate to remove two of the arms, but my rear arms would be too far back on their own and the shoulders don't connect to my collarbones, and my front shoulders don't have shoulder blades. Surgery wasn't as advanced then, so they couldn't really do anything.

SES: I'm sure many club members are glad the surgery wasn't performed.

Lei: So am I, these days.

SES: Any idea what caused your abnormalities?

Lei: Nope. No-one has any evidence to support a theory, so I just think, given how many of the Studios' models come from here, it could be as simple as something in the water.

SES: You might be right. You said you were glad you still had your extras "these days"... was it hard having them growing up?

Lei: As you said, my extras are pretty obvious: my Mom and Dad loved me as I was, but tried to hide me away at first. When word got out about this four-armed girl, they wanted to move away, but then decided to stay here and let the people in the town get used to it instead. And I think that strategy mostly worked. When I first went to school, kids that age are usually accepting of other kids no matter what. But they got used to me and I was accepted all the way through elementary school.

SES: What about high school?

Lei: That was a bit harder, because right around that time I hit puberty, and all my breasts started to develop. The doctors were wrong, and for some reason this was almost worse than having four arms.

SES: Really? How?

Lei: Well, I was accepted as the four-armed girl by people around me, but breasts are seen as something sexual, and so somehow four breasts were more taboo. I was suddenly uncomfortable with my body right up until I was about 17. In the winter I could wear big, loose, thick clothes as much as possible, and the rest of the time I would try to wrap my lower breasts, which would hide them but hurt like crazy.

SES: What happened when you were 17?

Lei: People had started noticing them as they got bigger, so I stopped trying to hide them so much. And then I think what happened was I worked out why my breasts were such a big issue. With four arms, people saw me as that four armed kid and either felt sorry for me, or jealous, or accepted me. Nothing extreme. With four breasts, and becoming a young woman, I was either extra sexy to some guys, or a strange temptress to the religious extremists. It all came down to sex. Some people couldn't get past the thought that I must be like the three-breasted hooker in Total Recall... extra boobs, she must be a slut. She'll only end up being a hooker.

SES: That's a bit extreme...

Lei: Well, people like to categorize everything into neat boxes. They usually don't have a box for me, so they put me in whatever is closest. So at 17 I decided to just be me. I tried not to hide my body shape, I went out with boys more and let them see me and touch me, I got a bit more outgoing. I wasn't being an exhibitionist, but I wasn't trying to hide everything either.

SES: "Wasn't" implies that you've changed again.

Lei: Yes, I think I have. I graduated high school but I had no idea what to do next.

SES: No college?

Lei: Actually I'm about to start, but back then I had no ideas about what I wanted to do. So I tried temp work as a secretary, and for a while I've been working as a server. I think working as a server, in a place with a bar, you have to be more outgoing, especially when you look obviously different. So that's changed my attitude as well. And then I met you.

SES: Ah, when I finally got up the courage to ask you if I could take some photos.

Lei: Yeah. I'd been on the net and seen sites like the Multibreast Art Page, and thought about maybe sending in some of my photos, but never done it. When you asked, you were so nervous and cute, I thought about how those sites would take it when some real photos showed up, and so I said yes. I also thought that, if I could be accepted by people outside of this place, around the world, maybe I can leave some day or travel.

SES: You feel cooped up?

Lei: I do a bit. I mean, most people here are used to me so it's okay when I go out, but if my family went on vacation I found out pretty fast that I became a walking freak show, and I didn't really want that. So we only used to travel to cold places in the winter, when I could wear a big coat that could hide my back arms.

SES: And the rest of the time you stayed here?

Lei: Yeah. But your offer of the photos really helped in a lot of ways.

SES: How so?

Lei: Well, I used to think that I would probably be pretty, or even sexy, if I was normal. When I decided to start being myself a bit more and started going out with boys...

SES: When you were 17-ish?

Lei: Right. Well some of them told me they thought I was beautiful, and my four breasts were very sexy. I still didn't really believe that the rest of the world saw me that way, but I started to think maybe I did look good. So when you asked if I'd model for a few shots...

SES: And I asked because I thought you DID look sexy...

Lei: I thought that I could see how good I could really look, and also maybe test the waters by letting them be seen around the world... try to see what sort of reaction they got. And I guess that's boosted my confidence enough to go to a college in another city.

SES: You mentioned college before... what are you going to do there?

Lei: I'm still not really sure. I want to do something that makes use of my rare talents, namely, four hands. I know there's got to be somewhere that's a useful thing, apart from playing the piano or being a waitress! (laughs) So, I'm going to do nursing, with as many generic subjects as possible in case I decide to change.

SES: Nursing? Won't you freak out some patients?

Lei: Probably, but it was my best idea so far for helping people. If any club members have better ideas, please let me know!

SES: So you're feeling more confident now. Any further change in personality?

Lei: I think I am becoming more extroverted. I'm really enjoying my trips to the Studios, and I think I'd love to do modeling, but there's probably no normal company or magazine that would employ me! And you're not going to pay me.

SES: No, we're cheap bastards here.

Lei: That's what I thought. (laughs) So anyway, I'm starting to look for clothes that show off my body more, rather than hide it. Like today's new outfit.

SES: I wanted to ask about that... I can barely take my eyes off your midriff.

Lei: I noticed. (laughs) A lot of girls notice guys looking them in the chest rather than the face, but I get guys looking at my middle as well, so I figured, why not? I enjoy the attention, and not too many girls look like this, so why not show it off?

SES: It sounds like you're MORE than comfortable with the way you are. What's the worst thing about having extras like yours?

Lei: Finding clothes that fit! Two bras, one with extra-long shoulder straps, works but isn't the most comfortable thing I've worn. And sleeveless tops are a must-have fashion item for me. But that's no good in the winter, so my Mom and I have become experts at re-sewing clothes. We buy two of the same thing, and fix it with two sets of sleeves, or reshape the front for my extra bust. Now I'm starting to design my own... today's top is meant to be worn with jeans or shorts, not as underwear. It's my first peek-a-boo top.

SES: Definitely shows you off nicely...

Lei: (grins) Hey, I've got four cleavages, if you count top-to-bottom, and lots of normal tops show off cleavage, so it's time for me to get creative. I guess that is one of the bad things about the way I look, though... attention is nice, but stares and pointing and shouting obscenities, or that I'm an abomination... I could do without that kind of thing. I don't get it a lot here anymore, but it's one reason I'm not looking forward to leaving for college. I'll be toning down my clothes for a while there. (laughs)

SES: What are the best things, then?

Lei: The good sort of attention, and being different. I feel unique, even though I'm not completely. It's like, I've got something that naturally sets me apart. I like that. But I think the best part about my body is having four arms. They get in the way sometimes, like swimming, but I can do so much with them that other people can't, or I can do it faster. I can carry more, and Mom always gets me to wrap presents now 'coz I can handle the paper, scissors and tape all at once. (laughs)

SES: So that's why you want to use them for good, instead of for evil?

Lei: (laughs) Yeah, something like that. I mean, I'm sure being able to undress a man twice as fast as other women has to be a useful job skill somewhere, right?

SES: You sure know how to make a guy nervous. (laughs) Are you flirting with me?

Lei: Not yet, but if Keatts doesn't get in touch soon, maybe I will.

SES: He hasn't emailed me yet, but you're saying he still has a chance?

Lei: Yes, but I'm going off to college, where there are lots of hot guys, so he better hurry up! He obviously likes a girl with four arms, so he's a good candidate for me already, and besides, HE asked if he could meet ME.

SES: Well, maybe that'll get him into gear.

Lei: I hope so. (looks at watch) Oh, I gotta run soon.

SES: Well, we got a good life history out of you, but I still had some more questions. I'll pick a couple of quick ones out.

Lei: Okay.

SES: Ummm... I have to ask two standard ones, though I think you've already answered them: Are you glad you're different?

Lei: These days, definitely. I like being such an individual, and I think my differences are useful.

SES: If you had the choice, would you want to be different to the world's view of normal?

Lei: Um, that's a bit harder. I've only ever known life like this, and sometimes it's hard to look abnormal. And I think this question is more about being different when someone looks at you and judges you. I think I'd still have to say yes, I would want to be different. But that's after a few years coming to terms with it.

SES: And I think we can stop there, then.

Lei: Okay, but if you have more questions you have my email address. Oh, hey, and if club members have questions, they can post them there or email them to you, and I can answer them as well!

SES: That'd be great! Thanks for the offer, I'm sure our readers will appreciate it. Thanks again for your time today.

Lei: Not a problem... this was a small price to repay you for your offer and these photos that have made such a big difference to my life. And to repay the acceptance of the people in the clubs. Especially Keatts. (grin) I bet he can't wait until I get all my hands on him.

SES: Don't scare him away, now. (laughs) Thanks for the new photo, as well, and we'll see you whenever you can come back to visit.

Lei: You certainly will! Bye!
