Koji

Koji was colonized by a fairly late wave of Tsuxian escapees; due to this the population is fairly uniform, with plats being a majority, and things like formal speeches and place names retain a Tsuxian influence. An oddity is that one wold be hard pressed to find any Kojian with natural hair color other than jet black.

Koji enjoyed a brief period as the Stream's industrial powerhouse about a generation ago, although the Ustrians have reclaimed that mantle.

Land Koji is formally known as the Great and Bountiful Empire of Koi and Jia; the land is in fact an archipelago, with two large mounts and a scattering of very small lands around it. Like in Bergstrasse, efforts are underway to link at least the two main landmasses with bridges.

Kojis are famously launcher-averse; on the other hand, while their bladecraft is not as good as fanboys believe, their tradition of contact self-defense -- probably stemming from not being allowed ranged weapons as Tsuxians -- means that they can use their blades better than most.

A somewhat recent Koi tradition is the raising of various insects and insectoids to compete in pit fights that set colony against colony rather than creature against creature; common wisdom has it that this is not animal cruelty as long as the colony survives, so the sport is seen as more high-class than cockfights or the like. Gamers have invented a number of useful psi techiques for swarm controls, and a persistent rumor has it that the Koji military has been trying to adapt them to use with the large deep insectoids for decades. It would definitely explain the occasional giant monster attack.
