Base Proficiencies: Lacking proficiency incurs a -2 malus to attempts to accomplish and caution/defense rolls with combat proficiencies.
- Lore - One's learnedness. By itself, the difficulty is high for specifics, but specialization greatly improves accuracy of knowledge.
- Magical Ability - Proficiency in Witchery; raw talent on its own, it requires specialization for most tasks.
- Melee Combat - Proficiency in fighting within close quarters.
- Ranged Aimed Fire - Hitting a target you're actually aiming at from a distance.
- Ranged Volley Fire - Hitting a general area where a target might be; more useful with explosives or splash type weapons.
- Resistance – Tolerance to pain, ability to negate harmful effects, and toughness to keep from being put down. Specialization vastly improves efficacy.
- Synchronization - This is the ability to use Gears and their special abilities.
- Timing - One's ability to act quickly, without hesitation, and most importantly, with thought.
