AerialHussars IntroA generation ago, in the golden age of the Empire, the Queen's Own Aerial Hussars kept supernatural threats to the Throne and to Humanity at bay, by force, wit, reason, and the occult's own powers. That was then. This is now. You almost could not tell just looking at a political map, but the Great War and the Great Plague that followed have changed the face of Europa. Armies unleashed upon armies greater nightmares than any vampire or demon; even angels on high would have found the wartime skies crowded and dangerous. In the cogs of industry, freewheeling to feed the war machine, the common man and woman had found some power, enough to question the old social order - or, in the East, to bloodily turn it on its head. To many, perhaps most, in the smoggy cities and in the fields still ripe with an iron harvest, the immaterial has become immaterial. But not to you. You know better. The old monsters never went away, they simply went to ground, hid in the noise of the horrors of war. And now, they are poking their head out again. By what is left of the old world, by what you can finagle out of the new, by dealing with the very powers you must keep at bay - you will keep humanity at the top of the food chain.
