The Dragon consumes the Sun*: A rare solar eclipse happens in 2016, resulting in the appearance of a silhouette of a massive dragon eating the sun. Bhuddhists believe this to be a sign of the Naga kings showing disapproval towards humanity, while those in the Christian faith link it to the passage in Revelations of The dragon seeking to devour the child. China experiences social unrest on an unprecedented scale, with many claiming to have seen actual dragons flying through the skies. Whispers in the Wind: Over the course 2017, an unexplained phenomenon seems to take the masses, causing humans to hear ethereal, haunting whispers when the wind blows. Zoroastrians believe it to be the voices of the spirits, daevas, while Native American tribes think they are the voices of their ancestors; warning them of imminent doom. The whispers cause global panic, leading to mass pilgrimages and a surge in religious conversions. The two attempts at employing nuclear deterrence signify a blend of desperation and hope. The launching of nuclear missiles toward the most significant strongholds of the supernatural forces, while being a massive gamble, highlighted humanity's refusal to give in without a fight. However, the thwarting of these missiles at the zenith of their trajectory was a grim reminder of the unparalleled powers they were up against. Rumor persist of a second attempt using drones or suicide aircraft, but it's uncertain whether that was ever tried, or whether work is even ongoing. |
