Background

Rakel is Toma's eldest daughter and the only one who stuck around -- she took up smithing as a way to help on the farm and ended up being its primary source of income. She doesn't mind the work, doesn't particularly want to get involved with anyone (much to her father's anguis) and figures that working with the Floral Brigade will make sure that when she does get a guy she'll be wearing the pants in the relationship. She isn't very interested in life in other lands or other forms of lore that don't touch her craft, but loves stories, especially fairy tales. She tells herself that she plays the trumpet half decently, although the rest of the crew disagrees. Her next ambition when this fight is over is to figure out how to court some dwarves into immigrating to Izwald.
