OlympismOlympism - A large number of people add other gods to the Jovian pantheon of angels and saints, claiming that the supreme being would not want to be in lonely total control; thus Alaron, god of the sky, Faustus, god of fire and patron of the crafts, and so on. Olympism is definitely a syncretic faith, and admits Luna and some of the more benevolent figures of the Celestial Buraucracy as objects of worship. Liner ships that have a chapel generally adorn it in Olympic style, since it is likely to contain something for everyone. Adherents of other faiths say that Olympism is a form of CYA. |
