- RCS
- A RCS (Reaction Control System) component is a payload that also carries a consumable, and has characteristics of both.
- A RCS has a mass of 1, and must be researched. It exists in a capsule or habitat like other payloads.
- Any one RCS unit can be used twice.
- One use allows one docking? attempt; this costs stamina.
- One use allows a +3 Piloting bonus to a thruster burn. This does not cost stamina.
- Special rule: If a vessel has no thruster fuel left but at least one untouched RCS cluster, it can burn both uses of it to perform a Deorbit burn and proceed to Reentry. Average the rolls.
- RCS cannot be jury rigged.
- RCS components can be transfered between docked Upgoers or carried by Derps on EVA.
- FAIL! - In case of a Fail, the RCS does nothing productive, but one of its uses is spent.
- BOOM! - In case of a Boom, the RCS does nothing productive, and that RCS cluster is destroyed; any uses it had left are lost. All instances of the RCS lose Reliability.
