AgingAging in the Millennial Kingdom is no longer a factor for the glorified, who are given bodies that look 25 to 45 years old and do not age further. Naturals, however, continue to experience growth and decline, although the process is slowed down considerably. This effect is attributed to the water canopy, which means that presumably plants and animals age at similarly reduced rate. 100 is widely seen as the age of majority and, not coincidentially, the cutoff time after which YHWH kills nonbelievers by intercision. People who managed to survive the Tribulations reach the end of the Millennial Kingdom in an extremely old but not quite decrepit state, with failing limbs and senses but no loss of mental acuity. A TOL worker aged 90 has a 4-year-old child without discomfort, indicating that she is the equivalent of a mother in her late teens. In +93, Rayford Steele (then 140 years old) says that he is starting to feel his age, but it must be remembered that he is 47 at the time of the Glorious Appearing, and aged normally in those 47 years. It's reasonable to say that the 100 years elapsed would feel like 10 to him (as he's gone from 47 to let's say 55, which is an appropriate age at which to start feeling old. These values strongly suggest an exponential relation between chronological and physical aging in the Millennial Kingdom. The basic power curve is a good starting point since it is one of the most common nonlinear relationships for natural processes. Basic curve fitting returns the relationship ![]() As for Rayford feeling old, plugging in 47 for bio years gives us 348 chrono years. Adding 93 of slower-aging time passed gives us 445 years, which converts back to 55 bio years, thus giving us another data point. This page may be used to calculate physical ages. Note that this curve shows that physical development in infants and toddlers is essentially paritary with the pre-Appearing world, thus taking care of the question whether it would take decades to potty-train a child. Another possibility is that aging is linear until the age of accountability, which in the source texts is specified to be 13. So, the first 12 years of life follow standard development. In which case, the curve fitting calculator is here. This chart may prove useful to convert ages for most purposes.
The formula used is ApparentAge = 0.8390831*ChronoAge^0.6870859 with its inverse being, of course ChronoAge = -67.43175 - (-6.462569/-0.01005131)*(1 - e^(+0.01005131*ApparentAge )) |
