Why: While undertaking her habitual career of breaking into museums to repatriate their contents to their parent culture, she was caught doing so in the territory of the Dark Legion. Luckily posessing enough of a reputation to not be killed outright, a compelling case was made that Strah-Kul IS the culturally appropriate owner of The Gloryhammer, and she was offered a full pardon in exchange for assisting the mission to retrieve it.

Equipment

Lefty and Righty: A pair of well-used handheld coilguns, Cara's everpresent companions in the event of a job going sour.

The Not So Little Black Book: A compendium of names and addresses and contact information about movers and shakers in the antiquities circles in a large swath of settled space. She is not particularly on good terms with most of these people, in that she will be just as often stealing FROM them as FOR them, but knowing who's likely to cave and offer a favour in exchange for being promised some relic or another is useful information.
