The Realm of Order infloresced from the cradle of civilization; the Saved population is ruled justly and harshly by the Archons. Demons scattered across the world, their demonic fortresses and outposts constituting the Realm of Chaos, where the Damned suffer and toil for their underlords. Between these cosmic forces lie the Freewilds, vast expanses reclaimed by nature in a wild resurgence. Human and varhuman society continues in the Interstice, coastal communities politically held together by a loose leadership from Antananarivo. As the world balances precariously on the edge of a celestial knife, the Sentinels stand as the guardians of the last embers of humanity. They are the shield against the encroaching darkness of Chaos and the restrictive light of Order, fighting to maintain the fragile middle ground that life now occupies. Taking inspiration from the legend of Doomguy, he who first fought the demons in the digital realm, they roam the divided Earth. It's once again a time of heroes and legends, of perilous adventures and unlikely camaraderie. In a world where the apocalypse was only the beginning, the spirit of humanity must burn fiercely if it is to endure. But that's what angels and demons did not count on - we evolved to be persistence hunters, and that's our superpower. The past is both a shadow and a beacon; the future is an unwritten promise. Despite the danger, it's still a good time to be alive.
